Bio: Robert
L. Slater is a teacher/ writer living in Bellingham, Washington with
his wife, Tonja,
a Nursing Home Administrator. His stories and poetry have appeared in Story House, Continuum, SBD , Wild Child, Millennium, Jackhammer,
Goblin Muse, and Martian
Wave. He
has also had plays produced in local theatres and was published in
Encyclopedia USA. A partial novelization and more poetry appeared
in The
Galactic Citizen. An excerpt from a poem he wrote appeared on
a PBS program entitled Earthscape.
He has a should’ve-been-a
doctorate B.A. in Theatre/Education with minors in Spanish and
History and recently finished an M.A. Ed in Educational Technology
through Lesley
University.
He plays guitar, brews
beer and mead, cooks, fixes computers, reads, practices Taekwon Do,
writes songs, sings. He has
six children, 3 to 22 years. He has adopted Robert A.
Heinlein’s
“Specialization is for Insects” as his motto.
